Classical appearance for this building which is originally medieval and dates back to the 14th century. Once it was owned by a blacksmith named Sax, from who the hotel takes the name.
In the past, the building was also an orphanage (16th century) and a hospital for the poor (18th century). Then it was transformed into an apartment block, from the 19th century until 1994, when it was finally transformed into a hotel.
The insides are now inspired to the 1950s, 60s and 70s, and the designs have been realised by the architects Nadi Sádovská and Jaromír Pitzinger. Our staff is very friendly with all our guests and we are sure you will appreciate this family atmosphere. Outside you will find little streets and ancient palaces.
